modern music, dance, performance and film. The three-week program happens in different locations in and around Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol, Austria. Both internationally renowned musicians and young emerging artists are performing. The motto of the 29th Osterfestival Tirol was new.departures – a reflection on living in a time of change and migration, calling for respect and a spirit of understanding for others. The festival’s main theme and identity was developed by visual artist and illustrator Patrick Bonato. Our challenge: Translating the visual language to the design and art direction of the program book and cinema spot. For the program book Montebelo created a series of photographs based on Patricks poetic cyanotype prints. These images were used in between chapters to create an additional visual layer and composition that develops and changes throughout the book. We developed a grid layout and typographic system for the different types of content and information, and a bitmap image treatment to connect the diverging editorial photos from past and present. Inspired by the unique color depth and feel of the cyanotype prints we used strong blue spot color that was printed on a beautiful matte recycled paper with a rough surface. For the cinema and TV spots we used the same materials and technique from the original artworks to translate the unique visual language of the identity into moving images. transforming waste into valuable fiber, yarn, and textile fabrics for the fashion industry. The social purpose corporation is focused on creating a net positive impact on the environment, society, and economy. Through their innovative waste-to-fiber platforms Texloop™ and Agraloop™, combined with the Orbital™ Hybrid Yarn technology, they offer breakthrough solutions for the most efficient management of textile and agricultural waste streams. After maintaining individual brand identities for their waste-to-fiber platforms Texloop™, Agraloop™ and Orbital™, Circular Systems decided to change their overall marketing and brand direction. The new strategy developed by Marketing SVP Andrew Schulenburg and the leadership team was to unite them under the umbrella of the parent company and focus on creating a single, strong and consistent identity. The team approached Montebelo to rethink the visual identity of the parent brand and its sub-brands. We worked closely together with Circular Systems to develop a new brand system that allows them to express their commitment and scientific curiosity in a clear and engaging way. Our starting point for the identity was the circular shape of the original logo drafts, and we built the key design elements around it: A modular logo system and a natural yet vivid color palette that highlights and distinguishes the different sub-brands. For the photography we collaborated with Studio Ari Elefterin, and the image videos and video animations are done by our friends from Favo Studio. Both explore technical and scientific ways of representation with a playful and humoristic approach. Over the past two years we got the opportunity to collaborate with Circular Systems on a wide range of different media and tools including pitchdecks, website, newsletters, brand guidelines, social media and photography. Sharing the love for both water and textile Montebelo joined Drip by Drip in the very beginning to help them and their mission to solve the water issues in the textile industry. We developed a playful and positive logo system and visual identity and were responsible for the overall Creative Direction for the first couple of years. Together with the Drip by Drip team we created a diverse range of communication tools for NGO, including website, company presentations, social media templates, campaigns, product &amp; documentary photography and the location branding for the Fashion for Water Event in Berlin.
